Perhaps the only thing worth mentioning here is your weapon. Even the usual item box goodies, like First-aid Meds, will already be in your inventory. A brief cutscene will play before you find yourself equipped with everything you need. None of those will matter as you dive directly into the action as Artemis.
Despite the complicated setup, it’s all pretty standard stuff. All the while you play as Artemis: who I guess is Milla Jovovich’s starring character from the film. Instead you get a couple cutscenes, brand-new gear, and some layered armor to go with it. It doesn’t introduce any new monsters like Behemoth or the Ancient Leshen. It’s not nearly as involved as either of those missions, however. As such it stands with FFXIV and The Witcher as a parallel universe crossover with guest characters popping into the main game. It’s a “collaboration” with the official Monster Hunter live-action movie. In MHW, “The New World” event quest sports a pretty straightforward name for a very strange quest.
